"Headphone playback is significantly better too. As with the Boomsound, playback is a lot clearer and louder. There’s also the ability to playback 24kb tracks."

"...the One M9 absolutely flies on its upgraded Snapdragon 810 processor, even with all the new features present in Sense 7. And with its 2,840 mAh battery, you’ll be able to explore all the phone’s new features to your heart’s content without worrying about it dying on you."

"Ultrapixel was a great idea, but I’m so glad it has moved to the front-facing camera and not on the rear-facing unit anymore. It took a great shot, but doing any kind of zoom on photos taken at a resolution of 4-megapixels was painful. Now you have a whopping 20-megapixels to use, which is great."

"...Boomsound is still a major part of the HTC’s flagship. It now comes with Dolby, and thanks to Harman Kardon’s Blackfire protocol, a three-finger swipe can send different songs to different multiroom speakers from the same phone."

"Those of you hoping for a completely new generation of phone from HTC will be disappointed, however. A very similar overall design means the One M9 is much more of an evolution of an existing breed, rather than a new species altogether."

"How's it sound? Maybe just a tad quieter than the M8, but also maybe a little more clear."

"...this is a sore point, and should be brought to you with the caveat that the phone I was using didn't have the final software. But the camera performance simply wasn't good enough."
