Samsung Galaxy S3 4G 16GB Reviews

"Playing with the Galaxy S3 4G, you quickly find that this is one fast piece of kit. From running multiple apps, performing the 4G speed tests, browsing the web, and cruising through the menus, it’s clear that Samsung has improved on an already excellent device. We don’t really need to get into the nitty gritty of what made the original Samsung Galaxy S3 so excellent, and there’s already a review pointing it out, but the improvements that have been made here result in a better product altogether." 4.5/5 Stars

"The S3 LTE is a quad-core phone, which means it beats the US version of the 4G S3, as that device is dual-core. Once you've stopped waving your union jack, you'll be interested to learn that the processor is clocked at a hearty 1.4GHz, so this mobile will power through even the most demanding apps and games. Other benefits from the powerful chip will include a lack of lag when you're swiping through the phone's menus."

"Most impressive is the raw speed of the device, though. Running a simple speed test on both it and a 4G version of the HTC One X demonstrated download speeds of up to 45Mbit/s and uploads of up to 21Mbit/s. That's a blistering pace, and one around nine times faster than typical 3G speeds."

Positive

"A speed test was run on the HTC One X 4G version and also the Galaxy S3 4G LTE model with impressive results as the 4G LTE phones were up to nine times quicker than usual 3G phones. Download speeds up to 45Mbps and upload speeds of 21Mbps were achieved. Of course this doesn’t take into account that nobody is yet using the 4G LTE EE network, which is bound to slow down at least a little once it’s rolled out."

"The S III we tested was also preloaded with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, which makes scrolling around and using the device a dream. Optus has confirmed that the device will ship with 4.1.1 Jelly Bean."

"Samsung has slipped 4G into the GS3 mix, but sacrificed battery greatly in the process. This is the still same great phone we saw earlier in the year, but the shorter battery cycles will be a deal breaker for many." 7.5/10
